My grandmother - Margaret Columba English 1902

Hi, I have the details of my grandmother born 6 February 1902 Knockbridge, Dundalk, Louth - parents - John English 14 Jun 1875 Clogher, Louth

and Rose Owens 1870 Dundalk -

I'm just wondering if there are any living relations connected to them?

My grandmother Margaret came to England abt 1930's and my mother Bernadette was born in 1931

Margaret's brother Laurence Joseph born Sep 1898 died June 1901

There was a sister called Bridget born Dec 1901

I don't know of any other children born.    Thank you         Steph

Our privacy rules prevents us from trying to look for living relatives. Looking at your note, it appears that there were three children and the only son died young. Did Bridget stay in Ireland and did she marry? If she stayed then you could try to track her line.

John English and Rose Owens married in 1895 not 1875.

Possibly John English had brothers who stayed in the Dundalk area. You could search https://www.phonebook.ie/q/name/ Make sure you use the Residential Tab. There are a number of English families in Dundalk. We do not recommend call calling. Instead drop a note to them.

You could also consider DNA testing. Possibly you will have fairly close matches on your English line.

Thank you for the information I can change my details.

I think Bridget Teresa English married Bernard Joseph Campbell but not too sure

I'll have a look at the phonebook records which I never though of.

I can drop them a note           Steph
