Murphy/Tuohy/Slattery of Galway (Woodford)

James Murphy (b.1838 in Cloughoola, Derrybrien, Co., Galway) married to Mary Tuohy (b. 1849 in Knockauncarragh Woodford, Co., Galway) in Portumna in 1869. James and Mary are my great-greatgrandparents. Mary's parents were Patrick & Catherine (Slattery) Tuohy. I hope to find descendants of the Murphy's and Tuohy's.

I don't know much about James Murphy and his family, but Mary was one of 6 children (if my count is correct). All of Mary's siblings, including Mary, left Ireland after 1870. Some went to the US (PA & Chicago) while at least two of her sisters went to Australia. Patrick and Catherine, from what I can find, died around 1891 (in Ireland).

I'm heading to Ireland next summer so i'm hoping to meet some cousins!

Thank you!

Susan
