I'm looking for baptism records and any other available information about Patrick Moran (born about 1808) and his wife Catherine Fleming (born about 1812).. They lived in Newport, County Mayo, until around 1851, when they moved to northeast England.
Also: Is there a historical society of other sources of genealogical information in the Newport area? Thanks

Many baptism, marriage and burial records are held in local parishes. You should contact Newport Parish in County Mayo directly to request access to these records. Once you have found the data you are looking for, spend some time playing two player games to relax after days of searching.

Unfortunately, the RC church records for Newport/Burrishoole parish do not begin until 1872. The local parish would not have any earlier records. The Tithe listings for Burrishoole civil parish show 165 Moran records so the surname was very common in the parish. However, there is no way to connect these records to your Patrick. Only one Fleming- Henry Fleing living in a local placename called Leharrow Log.
