Michael O'Brien Dublin

Looking for information on Michael O'Brien from Dublin.  He and his family emigrated to the United States in 1848.  Rumor had it that he was an edition on the Dublin Nation newspaper.  I'd like to find out if this is true or not.  Thank you.
