Thank you so much Mary.  Great to get additional information for Michael and his family.  Fairly sure now Michael is the brother of my 2 times great grandfather John Burns born in Fermanagh in 1801 who moved across to Cambusnethan in Scotland and his father before him (Peter Burns) who remained in Ireland.  I wonder if anyone out there has any information about a Peter Burns, likely to have been born in or around Galloon, Fermanagh, probably around 1780 or so
