Meaney/Butler Coolready Castleconnell Limerick

Hi,

I'm chasing any info on both Thomas Meaney and Margaret Butler from Coolready, Castleconnell from the 1820s. From what i can find they had at least three sons, William, Patrick and Thomas. William and Patrick both emigrated to Australia, and i have found some info on them and their families. A newspaper obituary in Aust states Patrick was born in Coolready in 1827 to Thomas and Margaret. Patrick's death certificate from 1891 states his his father was Thomas Meaney and Margaret Butler. I have quite a bit of info on other Butlers from Coolready including William, James and their sons, Michael James and Michael William. There seems to very little if any "official" info on Margaret Butler. My original theory was she could have been William's and Jame's sister as several people have her being born around 1800.

If anyone has any more info on Margaret Butler or Thomas Meaney from Coolready, Castleconnell, it would be greatly appreciated. I have a feeling she may have been born in Cappamore, the same as William and James.

The RC records for Castleconnell (1850) and Cappamore (1842) start too late to allow us to find records for the Butlers and Meaneys. The 1850 Griffiths Valuation does show a Thomas Meany and a William Meany in Coolready. There was also a James Butler and a Michael Butler in Coolready.

The 1901 census for Coolready showed one Meaney family and one Butler family.
