Hi there: Searching for family tree members. Here is the info I have. Family name is McNamara. My great great grandfather was born in 1811 in Kilkee. His wife was Ellen "Biddy" Foley. She was born in 1823 in County Clare. They were married in Ireland.
They emigrated Canada in 1852 and settled in Renfrew, Ontario. That is the latest info I have. Any help is much appreciated
With thanks,
John McNamara

John:
The subscription site FindMyPast.ie has a January 26 1826 marriage between a Martin McNamara and a Brig Foley. The RC parish was Tulla. The bride and groom were both from the townland of Glendree in Tulla civil parish.
I also see baptismal records for Margaret (1834) Martin (1836) Andrew (1843) Michael (1846). All in Tulla.
My question is whether we have two different families? You mention Kilkee which is a long way from Tulla. (By the way there are no records for Kilkee RC parish until 1869). You also have Ellen (Bid) born in 1823 and the record on FindMyPast.ie has her married in 1826. Also, the names on the 1871 census shown above don't match the baptismal names.
