McIntyres who have immigrated to New Brunswick Canada

Hello Ireland,

 

I am looking for information from any McIntyre families who know of their ancestors that may have immigrated and settled in the Chatham/Newcastle Area now known as the Miramichi in the Province of New Brunswick, Canada. There are so many reasons to wanting to find my roots and the beginnings of where my family came from when they left Ireland. One humorous reason is that I do not want to cheer for the wrong Hurling Team! I have many Irish friends that say that would just be wrong....hahahahaha....but on the serious side I have always been drawn to Ireland and my family roots.

I'm also researching McIntyres in Canada who came from Ireland. They settled in New Brunswick Canada. then some of them migrated to the U.S.A. that's were I am. Francis McIntyre, (also spelled McIntire) was from Donegal Ireland and came to Canada in the 1840's does any of this sound familiar to you?? let me know we can compare notes

I also am searching for the history of the McIntyres in Miramichi. I wish I would've found this sooner, I've been searching for a long, long time. I'm stuck. I lived 3 years in Miramichi and spent many hours, and quite a bit of money, going through the archives there. I found a lot (almost literally) of McIntyres all over NB and I know they're all related somehow but was never able to go far back enough. I was stuck on Martin McIntyre, father of Byron and originally from the Kouchibouguac area. He disappeared quite young it seems and left his wife (Marguerite Landry?) and some of his children ended up adopted in Chatham, NB. If any of this sounds familiar to you, please, please reach out to me. 🙏 Let's compare notes.
