McGorlick & Banks Drumlease, Leitrim

I am looking for the marriage of Bridget McGolrick and John Banks from Sriff, Drumlease parish in County Leitrim. Their first child , Patrick Banks was born about 1858 but the parish records do not go back far enough to record his baptism. They had 9 more children all of whom I have found in the parish records beginning in 1861 with James Banks.

John Banks died in 1900 but Bridget was still living on the farm in Sriff during the 1911 census with son Peter. I can not find any recorded date for Bridget's passing.

The marriage record is not available and I checked the subscription site Roots Ireland in case they were married in another parish.. The Drumlease RC records start in 1859 and the marriage occurred before 1859.

I also looked for the death record for Bridget with no success. One clarification on your message. Peter and Bridget were not living together in 1911. Peter was living alone (at the least the night of the census) and Bridget was a boarder with a Muldoon family in Sriff presuming this was your Bridget.

Thank you Roger. Yes I knew she was with Muldoon in 1911 that was an oversite by me. Peter was nearby on the original land. It appears bridget sold the land in 1913 to Mary Keany so I suspect she died around that time at about age 78 but can find no proof. Peter likewise disappears after the 1911 census, but all his brothers and sisters ( except Katy) had moved to America around 1880's.

I have resaon to believe that bridget's mother was named "Bird" and married John McGolrick.

Is there anyone living in Sriff today that has any memory of the Banks/ McGorlick clan. I know Peter Banks was farming in 1911 in Sriff, Drumahaire parish but do not know where he went after that?
