Her Husband, Manus was born 1818 and died 1885 - I have his Death Cert

Crossen58,

A search for Bridget (Biddy) did not show any information, other than the names for the birth of her children.

Manus Crossan, Junior, has a Patrick McCullom and a Hanna O' Donnell as baptism sponsors. No detail found to connect with Bridget.

In relation to Hanna O'Donnell, she may be connected to a Patrick O'Donnell, aged 13 years, who is recorded in the 1901 Irish census

as a farm servant to Joh n Crossan, Woodland.

Regards.

heck the Irish census records from 1821, 1831, 1841, and 1851. The 1851 census is particularly useful since Bridget was born around 1828. Look for any McCollum families in County Donegal, especially in the Letterkenny curve rush 2 area. If Bridget and her family emigrated to the USA, the US census records from 1900, 1910, and 1920 may provide information about her children and possibly her siblings. If you have a living relative who can take a DNA test, this might help connect you with distant relatives who have already done research on the McCollum family.

Crossan58,

Please see attached records - Land and census. They may alert someone as to the identity of the McCollum family. Griffith's parish names are known as Civil and

do not always correspond with the Roman Catholic parish.

McCoy

Thanks for the above info.

The Manus Crossan in 1858 Griffiths valuation is my ancestor who married Bridget McColluml

The Manus Crossan, with witnesses Patrick Collum and Hanna O'Donnell, was one of the children of Manus and Bridget
