Mary Nee Walsh

Hi - we will be visiting Ireland in February and I was hoping to see my grandmothers childhood home. Is there a way to find an address? Her name was Mary Nee born in Galway (Turlough or Rosmuc)  in 1899 or 1900. Her parents were Martin Laurence Nee and Mary Coyne Nee. I am not sure if this is possible but thought I would ask here. Thank you

You can contact local parish to see if they are familiar with the family and where they lived.

If you are planning on coming to Galway you should complete the Meet and Greet form on this website. A local volunteer might be able to help you.

In the 1901 and 1911 Irish censuses, the “House #” you see in the House and Building Return (Form B.1) is not a street address or postal number. It is simply a sequential number assigned by the census enumerator to identify that particular dwelling or building within the townland or area they were visiting
