I am seeking information regarding my great great grandfather Martin Cooley. He emigrated to England probably in the late 1840s/early 50s. From his marriage certificate in 1852, he gives his place of origin as Tuam. According to his recorded age he was born around 1827 and his father is John Cooley. I have been unable to find any record of Martin's birth.. An anyone help please?

The baptismal records for Tuam RC parish go back to 1790. I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland for Cooley baptismal records in Tuam with father John and there were no records with that criteria. Likely Martin was from a nearby parish and indicated he was from Tuam since it was the nearest "big town". I note that all of the RC parishes surrounding Tuam do not have records back to the 1820s.
