MARRIAGE OF MARY HEALY AND JOHN EDWARDS

I AM LOOKING FOR THE MARRIAGE OF MARY HEALY, MY 2ND GGM WHO IS THE DAUGHTER OF DANIEL HEALY AND MARY COSTIGAN.  MARY WAS BORN ABOUT 1825 AND WAS IN BROOKLYN NEW YORK AROUND 1843 TO 1855 UNTIL SHE MOVED TO UPSTATE NEW YORK NEAR TICONDEROGA WHERE HER HUSBAND JOHN EDWARDS WORKED IN THE MINES.  SHE IS FROM TEMPLEMORE BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DISCOVER WHERE JOHN EDWARDS IS FROM OR WHEN THEY GOT MARRIED.  IT IS POSSIBLE THEY MET ABOARD SHIP OR WERE MARRIED BEFORE LEAVING IRELAND.

Based on your writeup, I would surmise that the marriage was held in New York State.

You mentioned that Mary Healy was from Templemore which I presume is the Templemore in Co. Tipperary??

Templemore RC records go back to around 1807 but I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and was not able to find a baptismal record for Mary Healy.

The surname Edwards was found in many counties

Did Mary die between 1865 and 1875? You might request a death certificate from the State of New York. It might provide parent names and where she was from. Some of their children were born in Brooklyn you might request their marriage license from NY. It looks like John remarried a Rebecca Kelly. Perhaps their marriage license will provide more info on John. John died in 1889. His death certificate might have more info. It looks like you have a tree on Ancestry you might research Mary and Johns' childrens' death records to see if they provide any info.
