To Mallow Cork and Tobin67: I am Denis O'Keeffe's American grandson and have read your emails from 2016. It appears Tobin67 that we are first cousins. We knew about Denis, Patrick and James having come to America in the early 1900's but never heard that John remained and kept the family farm. I looking forward to your replies so that we can exchange history and information. Mcnorth1.

You need to post a comment on the 2016 message thread. That way Tobin67 will get a notification assuming he/she has the same e-mail address.

Hi Tobin67:) I have numerous Tobin kin in New York city area, Queens, and Long island,NY. My guess:( is that my gggrandfather Michael Tobin came to US as a boy.He had one son(at least) named james Buchanan Tobin born in 1862. I suspect he was born ca 1836 in southern Ireland though this too is guess work. A couisin did an Ancestry DNA study and it was noted that Kilkenney was a good match. Any connections, thoughts, advice? Thanks.
