I am looking for my great great great grandmother Mary Driscoll who married James Mahony on the 7th February 1815 in Bandon Cork. Their son James Mahony my great great grandfather was born in Bandon on 7th January 1834 and married Bridget Rush in
Campbelltown NSW in 1860. I believe he emigrated to Australia when he was about 18 years of age.
Hi
To bear in mind there are and can be different variations of this last name.
You've headed it as MAHONEY, it can also be MAHONY (as stated too) but it can be O'Mahony.
Might need to consider the name variations when searching.
Good luck!
Liberty.
Are you sure of the date of birth of the younger James? Irishgenealogy.ie, a free site, has many baptisms for Bandon and many in 1834, but no James with mother Mary Driscoll.
