Madden Family from Co. Limerick

Hi, Just realized I never said thank you!

This information has been extremely helpful to my family. I'm visiting Co Limerick in August 2024 and would like to find some relatives if they are still there and see where my Great Grandmother was born.

Happy New Year,

Jennifer

Thank you Roger, I'll complete the form and see if we can get some additional information. You've been very helpful! Happy New Year

Hello Jennifer, I have a connection to the family listed above by Roger and may be able to help you

Hi Cor,

Well isn't that luck just in time for St. Patricks Day! Yes, my great grandmother, Ellen Mary (Nellie) was the youngest in her family and came to the US in 1902. She came over with a brother David and a sister Bridget (Delia). With Rogers assistance, we've been able to piece much information together and now know where in Co Limerick our Madden and Regan families are from.

I will be the 1st of our very large family to visit and simply can't wait. It's been a dream for many many years. Any information you have would be greatly appreciated. I'm confused on what village they lived in as they look close together on my map. If you are able to confirm for me, I will be visiting in August 2024. Kilmeedy, Kilmeedy Town, Gortmore? I've been able to trace my 3rd great grandfather David Madden born 1817 died 1891. He married Margaret 1820-1896 both of their parents unknown and from Kilmeedy, Feenagh.

Thank you very much for reaching out. We are very appreciative, Happy St. Patricks Day!

Regards,

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, It is probably easier if you phone me, perhaps around midnight Irish time on the 19th or one of the following days. Dial 00353877788611 I hope that suits. Thanks.

Thank you Cor,

I am happy to call you. Are available 9pm Irish time on the 19th or 21st? I have plans already later on that evening but can find another date if that does not work for you.

Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, either evening is fine.

Hi COR,

I apologize it's taken me so long to get in touch and I may have missed the chance on getting additional information from you on my Madden and O'Regan families from Kilmeedy. We are leaving 8/6 for Scotland and Ireland and will be making a short side trip to Kilmeedy to check out the village. Even though I don't know exactly where the family lived, it will be wonderful to see.

Thank you,

Jennifer

Hello Jennifer, Contact me on the above number - before you leave, as your USA phone may not work in Europe for voice. I can help with your Kilmeedy connection. Thanks.

Hello Jennifer, Me again. I am a 3rd cousin,  I live in the area and I am familiar with the places a Madden descendent would need to see. . I dont want to put any more information on here for reasons of privacy. Same reason why I dont have a presence on any of the mainstream social media platforms. I am available until 1.00am Irish time tonight if you wish to call, or anytime excluding 1.00am to 7.00am any day. If ringing within Ireland , dial 087 7788611. Enjoy the trip!.

Hi COR, Thank you and I understand the need for privacy. I have been traveling today so it is too late to call you now but I will call you at 4pm Ireland time on 8/6. I am very appreciative of any information and would love to see what you can show me. I will give you more information when I speak with you.
