Looking for relatives of this couple: Richard Simmons who married Sarah Streep in 1815
Hi, I visited the area near Kill St Nicholas in the summer of 2016. I saw Passage East and took the ferry there. I have Streep and Simmons ancestors who lived there. In Dublin at the National Archives, I found the microfilm with the parish records (Microfilm VIII - they are 3/4 of the way into the reel). I found the marriage of Sarah Streep and Richard Simmons in 1815 (note online databases and the transcription available at Family Search state the year incorrectly as 1816). I would be interested in linking up with other Streep or Simmons descendants to compare DNA data or exchange other information. The Streeps appear to have been in the parish for a few generation but it is not that clear where the Simmons came from. Richard Simmons was working on the Revenue Cruiser "Richmond" at the time of his marriage in 1815 and the baptism of their daughter Sarah in 1817. I also found the baptism of Sarah Simmons but time ran out for me at the Archives and I was unable to find the baptism of their daughter Elizabeth (probably about 1819) who is my direct ancestor. I am currently reviewing Family Search Film #0897365 which is a transcription of the parish register.
