We are trying to find the names of the parents of Michael Byrne, who was born in/near Mullingar in the mid 1840's-1850's. Michael Byrne married Mary Steele, and started a family near Mullingar in the 1880's. The names of Mary Steele's parents would also be welcomed if that information could also be found. Thank You, M. The civil record https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1883/10942/5999225.pdf shows a marriage date of June 21 1883. I think the couple delayed registering the marriage and adjusted the date to avoid a fine for late registration. The names of the fathers are Patrick Byrne (deceased) and Andrew Steele.

The records for Mullingar go back to the 18th century. Kinnegad records go back to 1827.
I searched for a baptismal record for Andrew Steele with no success. I did not search for baptismal records for Bridget Duffy, Patrick Byrne and Bridget Kenny because the names are too common and you can't be sure if you have the right person.
