Looking for Parent information of 9th great grandfathers

Hello all, I'm looking to acquire information for my family tree. George Allen Jefferson Craig was my grandfather. His mother was Belva Greathouse Craig. Her father was Charles Lee Greathouse. His mother was Mary Elizabeth Vandal Greathouse. Zeruan Rowana Ingram Vandal was her mother. Her father was Abraham Ingraham. His mother was Elizabeth Slaven Ingraham. Her father was John B. Slavens. He came the the US in 1740 from Tyron Co. Ireland. This is where my journey has ended. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Marilyn,

I looked in the 1901 census for Co. Tyrone. There are 81 Slavin or Slavan people listed, all RC. So a reasonably common name in the county. Unfortunately none of the RC parishes in the county has records for the 1740s, so tracing the family will be very difficult. DNA testing with some of the Slavins there now might be the only way of making a match.
