please help me find Bartholomew McGrail, son of Owen, emigrated to North Yorkshire England in middle of the 1800s.He had a brother called Michael who emigrated to America around the same time.Do not know of any other siblings.

I would focus on Mayo, Leitrim and Roscommon with your search efforts. I looked at the Griffiths Valuation survey which was condcuted in thos counties from 1855-1858. I don't know of Owen McGrail was alive at that time but if he was, he may be one of the five listed below. McGrail is the least common spelling. There are more McGrale and McGreal records in the Griffiths. McGreal is mostly found in Mayo.
