Looking for Harrington's and Finn's/Fynn of Kilcloon, Batterstown and Kilcock, County Meath, Ireland

My Irish ancestors, John Bannon and Bridget Harrington of Ireland married on 15 October 1858 in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland, then moved to Scotland between 1859-1861, and then came to America in or around 1863.

Bridget was born or baptism on 09 Nov 1836 in Tubber, County Offaly, or possibly in Kilcloon, Batterstown and Kilcock, County Meath, Ireland.

Bridgets parents were William Harrington and Anne Finn or Fynn, who were married on 02 Mar 1829 in Kilcloon, Batterstown and Kilcock, County Meath, Ireland:

Ireland, Selections of Catholic Parish Marriages and Banns, 1742-1884

Name: William Harrington
Event Type: Marriage
Event Date: 2 Mar 1829
Spouse's Name: Anne Fynne
Parish: Kilcloon, Batterstown and Kilcock
Diocese: Meath
County: Meath and Kildare
First Witness: William Lynum
Second Witness: Elizabeth Coffy

Anne's maiden name in transripts of baptism records also have her maiden name as "Lynn" and "Winn", but "Finn" shows up the most from the records she has been found in so far.

William Harrington and Anne Finn had 3 known children: 2 daughters and 1 son. Of their known children, Bridget, my great grandmother, is known to have married. Her other siblings were: Catherine Harrington (Baptism 29 Mar 1833) and John Harrington (Baptism 22 Feb 1835). I have not found any other records on them to know if they married and if so, had any children. Based on the witnesses of their children's Baptisms, there were other Harrington and Finn family members in their communities (see below):

There are two birth records of Bridget Harrington:

I'm trying to learn if there are still Harrington and "Finn" 's in or around Tullamore of Offaly, or Kilcloon of Meath, that are or could related to my William Harrington and Anne Finn that could lead me to finding any relatives and/or ancestors from Ireland.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.

Greetings Michael

Goodness, ten years on! Hopefully you have had some success on finding ancestors. My interest was piqued by the Fynn connection.

I've been on xo for some years now but trying to find anything earlier than my great-great-great grandfather has proved fruitless.

He landed his boat in Table Bay, Cape Town, in 1803 only to be detained by the Dutch! On his way to India it was British port but, returning to Britain, his cargo of species (currency) was now contraband.

On his release though, he busied himself and, in 1806, brought family out. Details of the intervening generations I have added to a tree on xo. But just a skeleton.

Could you perhaps direct me to any resources that you found useful.

Thank you in anticipation.

Regards

Patrick Fynn
