Looking for information re: transportation and guides for hire

Hello, I'm planning a visit to Ireland in the Spring. I won't be renting a car this time and want to find out about options I have for traveling to the countryside. Are there taxis? Uber drivers? Private drivers for hire? If possible, I will take buses. How do I find out about local buses out of Athlone that would take me to places such as Clonmacnoise, Shannonbridge, Clonaderig, Cloonown, etc.?
