Looking for Hugh O'Reilly

I'm looking for Hugh O'Reilly with parents Patrick O'Reilly and Mary McHugh not 100% sure about this. I would like to confirm where and when he was born and if he had any siblings, and any information about his life in Ireland. 

Hugh was born 1857, maybe in Drumany, Knockninny, County Cavan. He married Bridget McBarron in 1878 in Fermanah. I found this record. They both then immigrated to Australia in 1879 on the ship Corona, where they had a family. I have all the info in Australia.

Thank you for this information. The names of places have been handed down, so I'm not sure of any of the places. Fermanagh has been mentioned a few times so that may be the best place to start. I'll have to check out a map to see where they all are.

I found two different families where the father was Patrick Reilly and the mother was a McHugh. The first was in the RC parish of Kinawley which is in Fermanagh but covers people across the border in Co. Cavan. The mother was Susan McHugh and there were six children from 1839-1857 but no Hugh.

The second family had the father Patrick Reilly and the mother Catherine McHugh. The RC parish was Drumlumman in Cavan. They had at least two children Hugh baptized July 29 1860 and Rose baptized March 29 1863. I don't think this Hugh is your ancestor unless he did not tell the truth when he was married. He indicated he was of full age which means 21+ and if you were born in 1860 then 18 in 1878.

Have you considered a DNA test?
