Looking For help with Woodlands, County Kilkenny

In my great-great-grandmother's bible, she wrote that she was from Woodlands, County Kilkenny. She was married in Chicago in 1873, so she immigrated before then. I believe that the townland was converted to a Millennium Forest.  Where could I find historical information about this place?
