Please clarify in order for the volunteers to assist you....who are Michael and Bridget Franks? Are they related to this other family, and also from Roscommon? Are you searching for what happened to only Kate after she emigrated?

Regards,

Carolyn

Carolyn,

I think Michael, Bridget, Frank (Francis) are all their great grandfather's (James) siblings identified on the 1901 census above (png). I think they are looking for the entire family including the ones I identified above. Kate would have been another of James siblings (on the 1901 census) which they have already researched.

Thanks for clarifying, Mary! I thought Franks was their surname the way it was written in the query. Now I see why the census was highlighted in red.

:) Wow, thank you to everyone out there. What a wonderful community, I am amazed at all of you. Thank you. :) Over the years I have been looking for children/grand children/ great grandchildren alive today that come from the same family line as I do. the information everyone gave me is incredible :) and will be going over what was said. I'm especially thankful for the information on Francis Geraghty and the info that he went to NY at age 22, thank you for that. MaryTV, thank you for all of this useful info you put your time into for me. Very much appreciated. Thank you :)

Hi,

If you have an Ancestry account, there is a user who is a descendant of Francis Geraghty that has a lot of information and photos of your family. The tree is called the Geraghty Family Tree by Kathleen Mincieli. You might be able to get a trial subscription for free, but I am not certain how much information you can view. Her tree shows that Bridget also emigrated to the US in Sep 1901. Michael and Kate do not have much information other than birth and census records. One small clue for Kate is she was the informant at her father's death in 1907. I sent her a message on Ancestry that you were inquiring about the Geraghtys, so she might reply to you on this site.

Regards,

Carolyn
