Ellen:
Unfortunately, there are very few Roman Catholic church records in Co. Donegal prior to 1840. We will not find baptismal records for either Denis or Susanna and the marriage record is not available. ( I checked the subscription site Roots Ireland). Both surnames are very common in Co. Donegal. I looked at the Griffiths Valuation data from 1857 for Co. Donegal and there are a lot of Sweeney and Cannon households in the northwest part of Donegal particularly Templecrone and Tullaghobegly civil parishes. Possibly, your ancestors were from that area.
Have you taken a DNA test?

elliedar,
Is this the family you are investigating?

If it is, trees on Ancestry suggest Denis and Susanna were born in Rosbeg, Inniskeel, Donegal, Ireland
and were married there in 1810. They had 7 children. Five were born in Ireland.

Inniskeel did not start recording baptisms until 1866, Civil records started in 1864.
