Looking for Cardens of borrisinossory, late 1700s, and Evans family of Roscrea

Looking for any info on William Carden, shoemaker of Borris in Ossory, born c. 1790s, and Eliza Evans of Roscrea, who both emigrated to Canads, c. 1815 or so. Any info greatly appreciated. Also two sisters catherine, anne, brothers John and Robert. there is also a connection with Standishes of Templemore area.

I have not found any connection with the Cardens of Templemore.

Some family members want to visit the area in June.

Thanks!

Hello, If you know Eliza's fathers name that would help.

If you open each link, copy and paste the townland Parish and county into search/google whatever you use....... you will get a map.

You will find that Roscrea, Bourney and County Laois over lap each other. Then if you know any of the parents names you can match to the tithe records.

Then we start to look at BD&Ms.

What Religion were they?

Or if they had one.

It does take time as your people are in the early part of records that are available.

This list is from the tithe records in 1823.
