The house number has no significance. The 1911 census was taken on the night of March 31 1911. Families filled out the form. Sometime in April (looks like April 12th for Turlough) an RIC constable went house to house, reviewed and witnessed the census return and brought it back to the RIC barrack to be sent to the central location for the area. The first house visited was house 1, second house was house 2, etc. Turlough is a very large townland over 3000 acres and almost exclusively farms. There would be no street names.

I don't know if we have a volunteer in the area so please complete our Meet and Greet form https://irelandxo.com/meet-and-greet
Thanks!
