looking for

Hi i am looking for a death record for Bridget Gavin she married David conniss 10/11/1882  in carraroe the next record I have found is in 1899 when she picked her son Edward Albert  up from Letterfrack  when he was discharged she lived in Spiddal at that time

I have found her children on the 1901 census living with a Stepfather Martin Cannon at no 11 Rusheenduff  Rinvyle Galway ? she ever married Martin i could not find a record of this marriage when i visited the records office in Galway last summer .

I have not been able to find a death record for Bridget at the records office either so i was wondering if she could be found in parish record she was RC . Can anyone tell me how many RC Churches are in the area.

Thankyou Lynda

Hi, the 1901 census calls Martin a widower, which would indicate he had been married, likely to Bridget.

Find my past has a record of the death of a "Delia Coneys" in Clifden area in 1931.

Delia is another name for "Bridget".

McCoy

Lynda T,

The Civil Records record this "Delia Coneys" as a Spinster, so it is not relevant to your research.

Hello,  I am related to a John Edward Manning born in 1900 maybe around 1919 Lived in Boston Massachusetts 1940. Heard he passed away at a young age.  I really having a hard time finding any info on him.  My grandmother Eva called him Eddie or slim.

Lynda T,

Please see attached in relation to the area of Letterfrack - Renvyle in West County Galway.

Did Martin Concannon die in that area? , if so it is likely that he was buried with Bridget.

Regards

McCoy

Thankyou all for your reply's.

There is no civil record for Bridget and Martins marriage and as i only have a name for him from the census i have not  found anything about him

.I was thinking if there is a RC church in that area i might find a record of her there she has just vanished

Thankyou again Lynda

Bridget Gavin Conniss and Martin Cannon I have no other information on them or when they married only that Martin is recorded as the step Father of Bridget's children and recorded as RC

Bridget was Married to David Conniss 11/11/1882they where married in Carraroe church he died in 1884 and was buried in Oughterand  church

Lynda,

The witnesses to the marriage of David Coniss and Bridget Gavin were Andrew Ridge and Mary Flaherty.

The address for David Coniss was SRUFFANE - Source: RootsIreland.ie.

The children are recorded as being born in Derrynea and were baptised in Carraroe..

.Edward 1883, James 1888, David Robert 1890 and Mary Anne 1892. Andrew Gavin acted as baptism sponsor for a number of the children.

David Coniss was a shoemaker by by trade and died suddenly in January 1894.

His death was reported by Bartholomew King of Carraroe.

No record of a marriage between Bridget Gavin Coniss and Martin Concannon found.

McCoy

Hi McCoy I have managed to find that record thankyou for looking .

Its Bridget I am looking for she just vanishes after 1899 I assumed she had married Martin as he was recorded as her children's stepfather on 1901 census

I'm just stabbing in the dark to try and find a date of death and where she is buried No record of it in Dublin archives  she is a mystery

Thankyou Lynda
