Looking for Fannings of Littleton Thurles

FANNING of Thurles Co Tipperary

I'm hoping that someone with knowledge of this family can help me .

Maybe even point me in the right direction.

Johanna {aka Josephine}Fanning was born 15th Jan 1906 the child of Tom {Thomas} Fanning and Johanna Hanrahan at Littleton, Newtown Thurles,

One child was born in Galboola the others at Littleton

Johanna emigrated and married a William Michael Elliott in Australia.  She had a son also called William Michael Elliott born 22nd April 1934 . 

She sadly died 18th January 1935 when the child was only 9 months old. She had no other children.   

William Michael Elliott jun. is now also deceased. He never married nor did he have children. 

I am seeking his cousins or their families to finalise his affairs.

His aunts and uncles that I have identified were as follows:

Maggie Fanning born 1895

John Fanning born 1.7.1896

Cornelius {Con} Fanning born 2.9.1892

Thomas Fanning born 15.4.1899

Mary Fanning born ? 189* married Heffernan probably of Galboola as Thomas Fanning died there in 1944 with his grandson Thomas Heffernan in attendance.

Ellen Fanning born 1901 {I think married a Martin Ely but have not confirmed}

Catherine Fanning born 15.4.1903

Michael Fanning born 15.6.1904

All born at Newtown/Littleton/Thurles

Con and Thomas went to Australia, where they died without children.

I am sure the aunts and uncles listed are now deceased but would anyone have information about  children of the above named and therefore the late William Michael’s cousins.

Any help anyone could give be greatly appreciated. Any pointer at all.

My mother is Thomas Fanning's daughter. He had children here is Australia.

Sorry having problems with message board posts and replies. My mother is Mr Courtney's first cousin

William Michael Elliott Jnr was also known as William Michael Courtney. 

 

My Grandmother was Maggie Fanning and I meet a number of these people. My mother was Johanna Fanninh born 1920. 
happy to answer any questions. 

I meet my man’s brothers on a trip her from Oz. Thomas had a sheep farm, a very large one, he talked to me about it.
