Looking for family of John HALLIGAN

My great Great Grandfather - John HALLIGAN left Ireland and went to Western Australia in the 1800's.  He settled in a place called New Norcia.

Hi Stuart

You need to provide an approximate birth year as there are 39 John Halligan born in the Ulster counties on www.rootsireland.ie/

Hi mate

im also a direct descendant on john halligan. His farm, summerhill, still stands and the house and buildings are a heritage listed site in new norcia (or the glentrommie area to be precise). I imagine summerhill was named after the town in Meath.

If you decided to come to Australia, new norcia is a stunning town built by the Spanish Benedictine monks and you can see John Halligan's portrait in the museum.

Hi,

I am also a relative! I’m in Perth, Western Australia. I have a lot of old Halligan photos which I have no idea who the people are!
