Bartholomew Griffin married Honora Ryan in Cullen on 22 April 1871. Some of the marriage and baptismal records were not recorded in the parish registry for this period. Hanora was a sister of William Ryan, Longstone.

In Oola Cemetery, there is a gravestone erected by William Ryan, Cullen, in memory of his beloved father, Denis, who died 11th January 1881, aged 74 years. Also, his beloved mother, Margaret Ryan, died March 17th 1887, aged 70 years. Also, his sister, Hanoria Griffin, alias Ryan, who died 22nd June 1893, aged 50 years. Pat Ryan, Longstone, died 1912. Willie Ryan died 1955.
