Looking anything about the McCarthy family tree, also I dont know what parish I need to look for.

I want to know more about the who is related to me i dont know what parish i have or what it entirelly is. I know my dads great great grandfather was born in massachusetts, Holyoke in 1896. I found a 50s college article with him passing. "Dean McCarthy was bom in Holyoke, Mass., in 1896. In 1927 he married Dorotliy Hoban in Chicago. Mrs. McCarthy survives, as do three sons,- Edward D., '50; James B., '49, and Kevin; a daughter, two brothers, a sister and eight grandchildren." I dont know if this file can be cleared up? I might of found his parents from Ireland or something?

Hi, I have been asked to look at older queries and it is impossible to say where, you need to find the birth record for the 1896 birth and the parents, then check the census to see if the parents place of origin is recorded, if not find the marriage and see if the place of origin is mentioned, if not look at the death certificates as I believe the US recorded partents on death certificates etc if Ireland is recorded you need to see what migration records you can access, to do a good job you probably need to use a subscription site. Mind you there are some good free ones too,

Good Luck
