living descendents of the Nowlans

Hi everyone! 👋

I’m planning a trip over from Australia to Tullow, County Carlow next year (2027) to

walk in the footsteps of my ancestors. I would absolutely love to connect with any

living relatives, distant cousins, or fellow researchers while I’m in town!

My family line stems directly from Tullow, and I've managed to trace it back a few

generations. Here are my main reference points:

• • Edward Nowlan: My ancestor who was sent to Australia as a convict. He was born in Carlow Parish in 1810. Sent to Australia on ship Andromeda II in 1830. Married to Mary Ann Cunningham in the colonies.

• • His parents were Thomas Nowlan ( born Tullow, May 1779, died Tullow 1828) & Frances Duffy born in Dublin 1794

• • Thomas Nowlan (born 1740 Stradbally, Tullow, Co. Carlow and died 20 Nov 1807 in Tullow) married to Anne Hanlon (or Finlan) born 1745 Ireland: Edward’s grandparents.

I know the Nowlans have deep roots in the Carlow area and I am searching for descendents of any siblings of these two Thomases. If

anyone recognizes this specific family branch, thinks we might be related, or is working on the same tree,

please contact me via this message board.

Many thanks
