Laurel Lodge, Waterford
Hi just wondering if anyone might know where "Laurel Lodge" might have been in about 1822. My ancestor Joseph Bates lived there and the property was apparently adjoining Elysium in Ballytruckle.

Was it the name of a House? I see Ballybruckle. Sorry no Bates people.
In Landed Estates the only Laurel Lodge I found was in Moycarkey, County Tipperary.

I looked at the map for Ballytruckle, its an area in the centre of Waterford, there is a group of houses in Laurel Court and Laurel Park.
Sorry I did a miss spell.

Thanks Margot. I think that would be the location because the Elysium House (former home of the Alcock family) was just to the north of Laurel Court/Park.
