If Big Jim Larkin refers to Trade Union leader and Irish Republican who was born in Liverpool in 1874 then they will have to trace their ancestry back generation by generation to hopefully a connection with a John Larkin of Ballintemple, Killevy parish, County Armagh.
The tithe book of 1834/1835 for Killevy parish, County Armagh records a household headed by John Larkin in townland of Ballintemple.
However, it would appear, for example, that no Catholic church registers covering Killevy parish predate 1832. Full details of church registers with commencement dates can be viewed in PRONI's Guide to Church Records at https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/publications/proni-guide-church-records .
A good start point for research, of course, would be Armagh Ancestry's database at www.armagh.rootsireland.ie .
