Melissa,
On the paid site, Roots Ireland, I found the following children of James Kinsella & Margaret Redmond (all born in the RC parish of Castledermot where the town land of Ballaghmoon is located: Thomas (1830), Rose (1832), Peter (1834), Mary (1835), Thomas (1838, first Thomas probably died), John (1841), Johanna (1843), and William (1845). However, the record for William shows that his mother's surname is Sherlock. Another unusual thing is that there are two records for William, one 25 May 1845 and the other 15 Mar 1846 with the same parents' names and the same baptism sponsors. I tried to decipher the original baptism entry on registers.nli.ie, but it is so faint that I could not even locate his name. This is why I believe there are two different entries on Roots Ireland. I think it is the same person, and it could be that the person who transcribed it was viewing another line where the name Margaret Sherlock was instead of Margaret Redmond. This is pure speculation on my part! Additionally, I did not find any other children of James Kinsella and Margaret Sherlock which is why I believe there is an error. All the Ancestry trees have just copied the same BD of Sept 1847...folks in the mid 19th century often did not know their birth date, and just put down any date that was close. Finally, while I could not locate a marriage record for James and Margaret, I did find a record for John Kinsella and Mary Redmond married on 22 May 1845, so perhaps brothers married sisters. One last item to mention that leads me to believe this is William's family is that his baptism sponsors were both named Doyle and some of the other siblings above also had sponsors with the same surname.
Regards,
