I'm researching Martin Kelly (1801-1873) who was transported for life to Australia in 1828. No birth record has been found but family lore names his father as Malachi Kelly, farmer and Honoria (nee Dowling). Malachy appears in Griffith's Valuation of 1847-1864. Had a brother Denis and a sister Sally.
Does anyone know anymore of this family?
Thank you Eileen - A lot of this information I had already but the death record for Malachi I have never seen before. Can you tell me where you found that death record please?
Sorry, I should have given you the site https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/files/civil/deaths_returns/deaths_1887/06222/4780676.pdf this is a government sponsered site, free to access, good luck with your search. The registration district is Abbeyleix.
Thanks again Eileen. Pretty sure this is a brother to my Martin. Thanks for the website details.
