Kelly family of Ahascragh, Galway

My grandmother Margaret Kelly was born in 1899 in Ahascragh, the youngest of 10 children. Siblings included Dierdre, Molly and Thomas. Some of them also immigrated to the US. I am visiting Galway in July and would love to meet some relatives.

Do you know if Margaret's parents were Patrick and Maria or Mary? I found a Kelly family in Ballyboggan townland Ahascragh civil parish. They had a daughter named Margaret Mary born in January 1901. By 1911 they had eight children. See the 1901 and 1911 census records below.

wow,

Thanks for the quick reply!  I'll have to ask my aunt what her parents' names were.  I do know that the hat designer, Philip Treacey is a grandson of one of her sisters.

Thank you!

Excellent!  I shall make some phone calls when I'm there.  I do know that one of her sister's grandchildren is Philip Treacey the hat designer.

Hello, I am looking for anyone related to Michael Kelly, who married Mary Monohan ( ( Minnahan) in 1830. Their son Thomas is my great grandfather. They farmed in the area and Michael died in Ahascragh in 1888.
