JOHNSTON, Robert - b. 21 Aug 1808, Armagh Parish,

Please read the attached, detailed document on our latest research into my great great grandfather, Robert "Red Robin Johnston and our family findings. I encourage all Johnstons to have their Johnston family Y-DNA tested with FTDNA. Without Y-DNA testing combined with traditional document researchwe never would have gotten as far as we have. Hi Cliff, hope posting worked out for you, I am looking over unanswered queries and yours is more an information posting, it may be worth posting it on the parish page for county.

Previously I done some research on the name as it was also in Kinlough, Leitrim, where the family got land post 1649 I think, they were relatives of the family in one of the now northern counties, cannot remember exactly. There was some query on this site about the name in Leitrim.
