My great-great grandfather John Gibbons (1823--1885) - I know about his offspring but nothing about him. or his heritage. I heard from one ancestor that John might have been married twice (first wife Mary?? second wife Bridget??). Who were his parents? Thank you in advance.

BeIow are baptismaI records from RootsIreIand for the two WaIter Gibbonses. One's father is John, the other's father is WaIter. Both mothers are caIIed Bridget.
When the WaIter who married Ann Madden got married, he said his father was WaIter, not John. So he wouId not be the son of John. UnIess John was aIso caIIed WaIter at times. Further research is needed.
