John Donoghue Abt 1825, had sisters Catherine 1826, Ellen abt1829 and Margaret (Possibly from a second mother name Margaret) 1832-34.. John named his boys: James Thomas, John Francis, Joseph and Harry. John named his girls: Catherine, Mary Jane, Margaret, Ellen, and Mary Emma. Family would be either Kerry or Cork.

Can you provide more info on John. Did he stay in Ireland? If not where and when did he go? When, where, and to whom did he marry? Where were his children born? Where and when did he die? Have you found his marriage and death records? Sometimes they include parents' names. His children's death records might include where he was from.

Mary none of that info would help find John's parents in Ireland. He emigrated to Mobile Alabama in early 1850 where he married Catherine Dalton age 17 two months later. Catherine went to Mobile Alabama because her Aunt Bridget Connell Haywood was living there with her husband William Haywood and children. John presumably followed Kate to Mobile Alabama.

There are 19 trees on Ancestry with Limerick, Kerry or Cork as his birthplace. Most show John Donoghue and Ellen Murphy as parents. No supporting documentation. I checked RootsIreland (paid subscription) and did not find a record. You might want to search Irishgenealogy (free) Church, baptism records. Irish Genealogy - Explore your Family History
