John and Mary Delaney Enright

Hi.  I'm looking for any information about John and Mary (Delaney) Enright.  I do not have specifics on the location within Ireland, although it's my understanding that the Enright name is most common in Kerry and Limerick.  One of their son's, Michael Thomas Enright immigrated to New Orleans.  It's my belief that his birthyear was 1852.

John is my 2nd ( great-great) grandfather.

I'm planning a trip to Ireland when we can drop our masks and raise a pint together.  I've found an Enright Pub and Enright Restaurant that I'd like to visit, but no plans are made yet.

Earl:

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and did not find an Enright baptismal record with father John Enright and mother Mary Delaney. There is a September 6 1852 baptismal record for a Michael Enright with father John Enright and mother Mary Hurley. The record was in the Patrickswell RC parish in Co. Limerick. Any chance the mother's maiden name was Hurley rather than Delaney?

Thanks you Roger and Patricia for the info.  It's making me question what I've compiled thus far, I obviously need to do some more homework.  I'm going to explore both the New Orleans birth of Michael (more likely) and the possibility of Hurley being the maiden name (less likely).

I haven't been very structured in my research to date (I'm a sprinter, not a marathon runner), and I realize now I haven't documented where I got my information thus far.  You've both given me something to work with.

Cheers!

Hello Earl,
I am from the Enright Clan. I was browsing today and saw the posts.
John Enright who married Mary Delaney, were his Parents James Enright and Mother Woods?
