Johanna Reidy

I am looking for information on Johanna Reidy, born about 1810 -1815 in County Kerry, possible Castleisland.  She married Cornelius Nolan.  They had a son, Michael Nolan, born about 1832, and a daughter Johanna Nolan.  Both children came to the U.S. and settled in New Orleans, Louisiana.  Michael Nolan is my 2nd Great Grandfather and I am trying to determine the names of his parents.  I believe they are Johanna Reidy and Cornelius Nolan.  Any information would be sincerely appreciated.

I found two Cornelius Nolans registered on Griffith's valuation in 1851 - both living in neighbouring parishes north of Listowel, Co. Kerry. Its a fairly unique name so I wonder is one of these either your Cornelius, or, if the date is slightly late, a close relative? You mentioned Castleisland in your search but I wonder might it be worth investigating whether you have any connections in Listowel. I'd recommend getting in touch with the local heritage society as they often have local experts or enthusiasts that might know the history of a name or have access to records locally? Thank you so much for your help.  I will be researching both sites you suggested.  I sincerely appreciate your help.  I was using Castleisland because that is where I found the Baptism of my Great, Great Grandfather, Michael Nolan, which lists his parents as Cornelius Nolan and Hannah Reidy.  He was married in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, in 1858.  Unfortunately, his parents were not listed on the marriage license or certificate.  

I believe that his sister was Hanna (Johanna) Nolan.  She also married in New Orleans and her parents were listed as Cornelius Nolan and Hannah Reidy.  

I hope someday to be able to break through this brick wall!
