I’m in Dublin until 25/2/26

My grandmother Delia Byrnes (also recorded as Burns) was born on 1 April 1897 in County Clare, Ireland. She emigrated to the United States in 1913, arriving through Ellis Island, New York.

According to the 1901 Irish Census, Delia was residing on 31 March 1901 in Cragleagh, Dysert, County Clare, living with her family.

Her father was Daniel Burns, and she had at least one known sibling, Patrick Burns. It is believed that other family members may have remained in the Dysert / wider County Clare area after Delia’s emigration.

I am hoping to learn more about Delia’s family, identify any additional siblings or descendants, and, if possible, connect with living relatives still in County Clare. Any information relating to the Burns / Byrnes families of Cragleagh or Dysert would be greatly appreciated.

At the least, I would love to visit County Clare and see my grandmother’s home.. if still there…
