Hugh McDonnell

Hi,

I am trying to trace my ancestors and would be grateful for any information anyone might have, I have gone back as far as Hugh McDonnell who (according to the records I have found) was born in 1836. He moved to England and died in 1868 aged 32 in a coal mining accident in Wigan.

Records show he was born in Innismagrath, Leitrim, Ireland. He was baptised on 11th September 1836. I'd be interested to know who his parents or siblings were.

Hello,

Are you sure about 1836? I found an 1838 baptism on RootsIreland, as follows:

Name:Hugh Odonell

  Date of Baptism:19-Sep-1838

Parish/District:INNISHMAGRATH ROMAN CATHOLIC

Gender:Male

County  Co. Leitrim

Denomination:Roman Catholic

Father:Hugh Odonell

Mother:Margaret Early

The above couple had another son, Terence, baptized on 25 March 1836.

Sorry, don't understand the query.
