Heather,
I have seen some of your messages about Hugh on other websites. If I recall correctly, you believe that Hugh married in Lurgan 1st Presbyterian church, probably in the 1830s. If so, the problem you face is that that church has lost its pre-1845 marriage records, save for a few years in the 1700s. In the 1830s the church record of the marriage would have been the only one in existence, and so if it’s lost, then there’s no obvious way of recovering that information.
If it’s any consolation to you, a marriage record in the 1830s wouldn’t normally contain parents names. All you usually see is the couples names, the date, and their 2 witnesses names. Occasionally a townland or occupation but often not.
If that church was Hugh’s church, and he was born in the Lurgan area, you might find his baptism there (which should give you his parents names). The baptism records start in 1746 and have been indexed. There’s a copy in PRONI. Lurgan Ancestry might also have a copy.
Can’t help you with the cemetery. Have you tired contacting Mount Jerome and enquiring about the burial?
Elwyn
