Help with Dennis (Denis) O'Connor in County Galway b 1831

My great great grandfather Dennis O'Connor was from County Galway in Ireland according to his headstone. He was born in 1831and emigrated to the US in approximately 1849, and he married a Hanora Henahan (multiple spellings and name variations) in Kentucky (1863) and eventually died in Kansas City Missouri. I've searched multiple sites to try to find where in County Galway he was from, but with the spelling variations on his name, it's been very challenging. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

On the subscription site Roots Ireland, I located an 1831 Denis Connor baptismal record in Co. Galway. RC parish was Aughrim father was Denis and mother was Mary Carr.Date of baptism was December 1 1831. The child was born November 27 1831.

I would consider this record as a lead. You need to find other evidence that identifies the names of the parents. This could be a different Denis Connor. Possibly your Denis was baptized in a parish which no longer has records back to 1831.

Thank you so much! Yes, I'm trying to obtain a death certificate here in the states which will have his parents' names. I appreciate your help and the suggestion of Roots Ireland.

I took a look at Denis's gravestone online, and the age it gives indicates a birth year of 1825.  So the birth year of 1831 it not set in stone and may vary further in census and other records.
