Help tracing my g-g-g-g grandad and family. Name of Fernandez

Hi all. I am seeking assistance to find information on my family. My g-g-g grandmother was born in Mount Mellick County Laois (Queens) Ireland. We think she was born between 1827 and 1831. Her name has been transcribed a few different ways. So i will list her varying surnames: Ann/e Fernandez, Fernandess, Fenandess.

I know who she married in Liverpool England and all about her children. I also know about her issues and life here in Australia with her husband and kids.

What I would like help with isfinding out about her parents and any siblings she might have had. Her marriage certificate states her dad as Edward Fenandess, steward. Then on her death certificate it says her dad is Edward Fernandez, a Master Mariner. We believe his wife was also called Ann. We believe that he was born lat 1700's. I have a lot of irish ancestry but never thought Fernandez would be found in Ireland! Thanks in advance.

Hello Kylie, have looked at Roots Ireland and the Tithe Applottments and the name does not appear, this could be simply down to the records not exisitig as we rely on church reocrds or the Tithes which was a tax record for those holding more than an acre of land.

I would have a chat or mail the library or archive in Laois as is or Queens County as was, while the name is not Irish there are many reasons it could be here etc. https://laois.ie/departments/libraries/local-studies-2/ ;

Good Luck
