Help locating parish

I have come to a complete dead end with my research to find my 2 great grandparents whooringated in Ireland and travelled to Liverpool, England in the early 1870's (I think). Where in Ireland they were born, Ihave not been able to ascertain.

Michael Doyle

b. around 1848

m. 13.08.1872 St Albans RCChurch, Liverpool

d. 14.11.1910

Father is Denis and is shown as deceased on the wedding certificate and was a Farmer.

Elizabeth Gladney

b. around 1846

d.

Father is John Gladney and is shown as a Miller on the Wedding Certificate. I cannot find him on any English census, sopresumeheremained in Ireland.

Michael and Elizabeth had 9 children and lived in Everton in the city of Liverpool. The first English census I can find them on is the 1881 census and as they married in 1872 I assume they either met in Ireland or shortly after arriving in England.

Any help, would be very much appreciated.

Hi Maddie

There is a record of the baptism of Elizabeth Gladney with father John 1843 Galway on www.rootsireland.ie/: ;

http://Name: Elizabeth Gladney Date of Birth: 15-Apr-1843 Date of Baptism: 30-Mar-1843 Address: Shambles Barr. Sergt 30th Regt Parish/District: ARMY GALWAY C OF I Gender: Female County Co. Galway Denomination: Church Of Ireland Father: John Gladney Mother: Mary Waind Occupation: Sergt 30th Regt Sponsor 1 / Informant 1: Not Recorded Not Recorded Sponsor 2 / Informant 2: Not Recorded Not Recorded

There are 6 records of Michael Doyle with father Denis 1848 + - 5 years; none is from Galway.

They are: Cork: 1846 & 47; Wicklow: 1842, 52 & 53; Limerick: 1850 so not sure how to find which is yours.

The Doyle family tree on ancestry (owner patsmith1) has Elizabeth born 15 Feb 1846 in St Mullins Carlow & Denis Doyle born 1818 Carlow but she does not give the sources of this information.

Hi Maddie14, the great grandparents you are talking about is my great, great grandparents! My great granddad was Joseph and my grandad James Doyle. The lady patsmith1 the person mentioned in a reply is my Aunty. I have just decided to take over looking into my family tree and hope to get the information found by my aunties soon. I have a picture of the Gladney home in Carlow with relatives from around 100 years ago.
It would be good to see what you have found out since writing this post.
I do hope you get this and reply

Thank you both so much for responding to my request for information about my ancestors.  Please accept my apologies for not responding sooner, but I stopped researching my family tree to look after my aging parents and so put all my folders in the attic until such time as I could spend time again on them.

Col your information looks very interesting and I will check the links out, thank you so much for this.

Jackie, we must be related!  So sorry for not responding sooner, 9 years is a very long time! I will check out your Aunties (Now yours?) family tree, and hopefully you will have uploaded the photos to Ancestry so that I can check them out.

Kindest regards

Maddie
